Seren Fryatt is the founder and executive director of L.A.C.E.S. which stands for Life And Change Experienced thru Sports. In 2006 Seren played soccer professionally in Liberia, West Africa just a few years after a brutal 14- year civil war had ended. In 2007, in partnership with local Liberian staff, they built a successful model that empowers communities to rise up positive role models through the avenue of sports and provides them with the tools to make lasting change. Since 2007 L.A.C.E.S. has mentored over 1,200 former child soldiers, street-living children, Ebola Orphans and refugee youth in Liberia and the United States.
Seren was named one of fifty “Most Inspirational People in Sport” by Beyond Sport. She shares this honor with First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, and 46 others who are pushing the boundaries to change lives through sports.
