Manager Community Relations NFL Nathalie Mathis has an undergraduate degree in International Relations & Diplomacy from Dominican University. There she learned about the value of helping others and the power sports can have. In October, she completed the GW Sports Philanthropy Executive Certificate Program as well selected as a 2017 Fulbright Scholar. As a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, Nathalie will be assigned to an English teaching training college or university in Argentina. She hopes to create a school-to-school connection, via Skype and email, with Spanish-speaking students at Dominican. With her playing and coaching background, she plans to volunteer as a girls soccer coach to help young Argentine women develop leadership skills and self-confidence. Most recently, she works for an organization called Goals for Girls whose mission is to use soccer to teach young women life skills on how to be agents of change, in their own lives and in their communities. Nathalie will be joining Goals for Girls on their 3rd Annual Leaderships Summit in Dehli, India. Attending this 4-day summit are over 250 soccer-playing girls from across the country, all from vulnerable backgrounds. The Goals for Girls Leadership Summit empowers girls to access the strength they already have, to become their own advocates, and to become agents of change in their own community. |
